Ascott and Malaysian developer, Coronade Properties, signed a landmark hotel management agreement on 8 August for Coronation Square in Johor Bahru - the first major hospitality project under the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ). Held at the Capital Tower in Tanjong Pagar, the signing ceremony was witnessed by the Menteri Besar of Johor, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, and Minister of State for Trade and Industry and National Development, Mr Alvin Tan. Speaking during the signing ceremony, Mr Tan said: “Our IHLs, like Singapore Polytechnic (SP), has already collaborated with the Johor Skills Development Council and IHL in Johor to ensure that workers in Johor and Singapore are equipped with the skills to seize these job opportunities.”
