The inaugural AI for Good Festival, held at RP from 8 to 10 July, aims to equip more than 5,000 young people across Singapore with artificial intelligence (AI) skills while encouraging them to use the technology for community development and responsible learning. Organised by AI Singapore in partnership with Amazon Web Services, Micron Technology and the Digital for Life movement, the national initiative will also be held at ITE East in August. Opening the festival, Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information and Education Ms Jasmin Lau said Singapore's success in the AI era depends on ensuring that no one is left behind. The festival also showcases youth-led AI innovations, including SP's Atlas team, which worked with the Singapore Land Authority to develop a platform that automatically detects location-based changes and extracts building records, demonstrating how AI can be harnessed to address real-world community challenges.
