Diploma programme supporting lifelong learning

Senior Minister of State for Education and Sustainability and the Environment Dr Janil Puthucheary said Singapore’s higher education institutions are equipping students with both technical and soft skills to help them adapt to changing global and economic conditions. Speaking at SP's graduation ceremony, he praised initiatives such as piloting ChatGPT’s group chat feature to encourage understanding among differing viewpoints and collaborating with industry professionals like NParks, JTC, and URA, for students’ sustainability projects. More than 5,500 people attended the graduation ceremonies, where three individuals, including 60-year-old educator Ms Tanuja Kapoor, received the SkillsFuture Lifelong Learning Award for their commitment to continuous learning. COMMS’ note: This was part of our Graduation 2026 stories.
