Mr Muhammad Haiqal Sapuan, 36, an SP Diploma in Chemical Engineering alumnus, began his career as an operations planner at an oil refinery and now oversees contact lens packaging at Alcon. After nearly a decade in the oil and gas industry, the father of two switched to a pharmaceutical company in 2022 to prioritise job security and family. Although the transition meant starting over in a new industry, he quickly adapted and embraced Alcon’s culture of curiosity and continuous learning. Within just 18 months of joining Alcon as a senior production technician, he was promoted to Associate Supervisor and now manages a team of 15 employees.
