Wu Guanyang, a 16-year-old hearing-impaired student from Bukit View Secondary School, excelled in the N-Level music examination, and qualified for Higher Music courses thanks to his expressive compositions. He is largely self-taught, mastering instruments including recorder, ukulele, guitar, bass, keyboard, double bass, and trombone, and enjoys composing in bossa nova, fusion, and indie pop styles. His original piece, “Polaroid Camera!”, placed in the top 10 of the open category at the Singapore Youth Festival. Wu plans to pursue music-related courses at SP, aiming for a future career as a composer and music producer.
