In this interview, Chua Wen Huat shared how his journey from ITE to SP and later NTU shaped his path into software development. Studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering gave him a strong foundation in understanding systems, both hardware and software. His interest in how software systems interact grew during a mobile app project at NTU, prompting him to build web apps, automate tasks, and explore APIs outside the classroom. Despite competing with computer science graduates, he focused on roles that covered the full lifecycle of digital products. The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) traineeship programme provided hands-on experience and strengthened his technical skills, enabling him to transition into his current role as a full stack developer, where his engineering background continues to support analytical problem-solving and understanding of software-hardware interactions.
