On 18 July, Singapore announced new efforts to strengthen its aviation talent pipeline, including more aviation-related courses and a new S$200 million fund. These initiatives follow the release of a manpower report by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Workforce Singapore. A key move is an MOU between CAAS and nine institutes of higher learning to expand aviation education. This includes NYP, NP, SP, RP, TP, SIT, SUSS, SUTD, and ITE. The collaboration aims to enhance programmes, grow course offerings and specialisations, and raise awareness of aviation careers through events and scholarships. The announcement was made by Senior Minister of State for Transport Ms Sun Xueling at the OneAviation Careers and Education fair.
