Ngee Ann Poly grads to get free AI courses, as over 25,000 students graduate across 5 polys

More than 25,000 students are graduating across Singapore’s five polytechnics, with institutions strengthening efforts to prepare graduates for an AI-driven economy. NP will offer its graduates four free Artificial Intelligence courses from October 2026, including a new “Human-First AI Core” module that integrates technical and human-centric skills, with stackable pathways towards advanced qualifications. At the same time, polytechnics such as RP are also expanding industry-relevant programmes and applied learning initiatives, reflecting a broader push across the polytechnic sector to support lifelong learning and ensure graduates remain adaptable and competitive. At SP, 1,890 students from 28 diploma courses became the first to receive the Certificate of Achievement in Teamwork, a new credential recognising top collaborators. At NYP, 535 graduates from the School of Design & Media were the first batch to undergo the Professional Competency Model which uses a curriculum co-created with industry leaders.
