The NTUC Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) is expanding support for young jobseekers by working closely with universities, polytechnics and employers to organise career fairs, workshops, and other employment initiatives. Last month, e2i and its partners held three youth-focused career events, where more than 50 employers offered over 900 job opportunities, including around 300 entry-level positions across sectors such as technology, cybersecurity, engineering, and finance. NTUC Secretary-General Mr Ng Chee Meng said Singapore's skilled, disciplined, and innovative workforce remains a key attraction for foreign investment. He added that unions play an important role in protecting workers' interests while supporting economic growth and ensuring its benefits are shared across society. The NTUC Starter Awards were first introduced in 2024 for Singaporean students from SUTD and ITE, with 43 scholarships awarded. In 2025, the programme was expanded to include students from SP, NYP, and NP, increasing the number of scholarship recipients to 92. Scholarship values are capped at S$6,000 for ITE students, S$9,000 for polytechnic students, and S$16,000 for university students.
