Pushing new frontiers in industrial automation

Emerson marked its 60th year in Singapore by highlighting how the nation has been both its regional launchpad and an innovation hub since the company set up its headquarters here in 1965. Over the decades, Emerson has invested in facilities such as its Solutions Centre for industrial technologies, a Global Additive Manufacturing Centre for precision 3D printing, and a Life Science Technology Transfer and Software Research Center to support digital transformation in production. Its Southeast Asia Service Centre, revamped in 2021, has also helped customers significantly reduce downtime. Partnerships have been central to Emerson’s growth, including a 2016 collaboration with NTU on industrial 3D printing research, and the launch of the Energy and Chemicals Training Centre at SP in 2019 to give students and professionals practical exposure to innovation in the energy, chemicals and pharmaceutical sectors. Beyond technology, Emerson continues to contribute to Singapore through corporate social responsibility initiatives, mentoring young people in science and supporting underprivileged communities.
