SP alumnus Captain Mohamad Salleh Ahmad Sarwan returned as an educator in 1992 to share his maritime experience and inspire future seafarers. As a Senior Specialist (Navigation and Ship Handling) at SP’s Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA), he helps develop industry-relevant training using technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality and simulators, while preparing students to adapt to AI and other maritime developments. His journey and contributions were highlighted at SP Homecoming 2026, which celebrated the institution’s heritage and generations of graduates. The event also raised $3.59 million for the Prince Edward Road Campus Homecoming 2026 Bursary, supporting 91 SP students.
