Robots that attract youngsters

RoboRoarZ, a prominent robotics competition held in Singapore for the fifth time, engaged over 380 students from various Asian countries in January. Organised by SUTD, it featured challenges using the reconfigurable robot 'Smorphi' and introduced an AI-based challenge focused on the hospitality sector. Meenakshi Ramasubramanian, a second-year Diploma in Computer Engineering student from SP, participated and achieved notable placements in both the prototype and live challenges. All the team members are from the SP Robotics, Innovation, Technology and Enterprise (SP-RITE) CCA group. SP Diploma in Computer Engineering student, Jonathan Lim Wei Kang, also from the same team, has tasted success in previous RoboRoarZ competitions. Winners in various categories included teams from NP and NUS.
