SIT will establish its new School of Lifelong Learning and Career Development (SITLEARN) on 1 September to help working adults upgrade their skills, navigate career changes, and connect with potential employers. SITLEARN offers more than 500 courses, including training in artificial intelligence (AI), responsible AI adoption, and sustainable data centre operations. It will also provide career guidance to help individuals identify skills gaps and plan their next career moves. The school will work with companies to develop industry-relevant training, while a dedicated hub at SIT’s Punggol campus is expected to open in the first half of 2027. Ashwin Dinesh earned a Diploma in Computer Engineering from SP before completing SIT’s Applied Computing degree while working full-time at Singtel. Over three years, he received two promotions, progressing from an associate in Internet of Things product development to an IoT product manager. He valued the flexible, modular degree pathway, which allowed him to continue working while developing his skills and eventually specialise in cybersecurity.
