In a Straits Times feature on what young Singaporeans felt were the best and worst parts of 2025, SP students shared personal highlights from the year. Mr Cassius Tang, 19, said the best thing that happened to him was joining the dance crew HRCY—something he had admired from afar and considered a major milestone in his dance journey when he finally got to train with them. Likewise, Ms Syazmira Samsaimond, also 19, reflected that her best experience was learning to exercise her free will more: instead of waiting for opportunities, she embraced them, leading to her first trip with a close friend to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She said being “stuck together in a foreign country” opened up new discoveries about each other and deepened their bond. These stories illustrate how 2025 was a year of personal growth, new experiences and stepping out of comfort zones for young people.
