SP is working closely with industry partners to help businesses move beyond AI experimentation to meaningful adoption. Speaking on Mind Your Money, Dr Lim Joo Ghee, Director of SP's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, said many companies already recognise AI's potential but need support to integrate it into operations, improve productivity and deploy it responsibly. Dr Lim explained that SP supports companies through a three-pronged approach focusing on mindset, skill set and behaviour. Besides equipping workers with AI skills, SP helps leaders and employees view AI as an enabler rather than a threat, while embedding AI into daily work practices. As the founding training partner for AutomationSG's Trusted Industrial AI-Ready (TIA-Ready) Framework, SP also helps businesses adopt AI safely through practical guidance on governance, risk management and ethical deployment. The industry collaborations also benefit students. Dr Lim said SP integrates real company projects into its curriculum, allowing students to work with lecturers and industry practitioners on authentic AI challenges through campus projects and internships. This hands-on experience prepares graduates to contribute more effectively to the workforce while building a stronger pipeline of AI talent. SP is also collaborating with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) to expose students to cross-border AI projects and support companies operating across Singapore and Johor.
