Ting Wai Kit: No Regrets Choosing PFP

PFP 2nd Cohort

Diploma in Integrated Events & Project Management (2018)

To parents whose children are considering the Polytechnic Foundation Programme, trust me, they will be in good hands in Singapore Polytechnic. The supportive environment and nurturing educators provide not only a strong academic foundation but also the space to grow as individuals. My people skills, emotional intelligence, and much of my character were shaped during this period. You will see the difference later in life, when I entered university, I realised how much the real-life exposure, challenges, and even failures I experienced had prepared me in ways many others had not.

To potential SP PFP students, this one-year programme will prepare you not just for your Diploma, but for life. I didn't think much of the essential life skills modules at first, but as I went through local internships in polytechnic, overseas attachments in university, and eventually my full-time job, I found myself constantly referring to and drawing on those fundamentals. They shaped how I adapt in fast-paced private sector environments, stay mindful of cultural sensitivities when working with indigenous communities, and handle challenging situations in ways that lead to the best outcomes for everyone involved. PFP gave me the confidence and belief that I could make a difference in the world, and many of us have gone on to do just that. So take this leap of faith and cheers to our upcoming successes! We're goin' up, up, up it's our moment, you know together we're glowing, gonna be, gonna be golden 😉
