SP Certificates, Minors, Electives

Students are required to complete 3 elective modules listed below: 

• EP0601 - ADVANCED MATHEMATICS 1
• EP0602 - ADVANCED MATHEMATICS 2
• EP0603 - ADVANCED MATHEMATICS 3

Eligibility: 
Students should fulfil any of the following criteria:

• Students who have an ‘A' grade in MS2129/MS3129/MS4121/MS6161/MS7202/MS0240.
• For SOC students, 'A' grades in both MS0105 and O-level E Math.
• For students who have not taken any of these modules, 'A' grades in both O-level A Math and E Math.
• Any others who do not fit into the above criteria will be dealt case by case basis

Note:
The Certificate in Advanced Mathematics can satisfy the mathematics requirements for admission to selected NUS courses. Click here to check the mathematics requirements for NUS courses. Students who perform well in the Advanced Mathematics electives may be considered for module exemption at NTU.

To obtain a Certificate in Applied Psychology, students are required to complete any 3 elective modules listed below: 

• EP0706 - INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHOLOGY
• EP0707 - EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
• EP0708 - BUSINESS NEGOTIATION SKILLS
• EP0711 - APPLYING POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY TO PERSONAL WELL-BEING
• EP0716 - FUNDAMENTALS IN PEER SUPPORT

To obtain a Certificate in Art & Design, students are required to complete 3 elective modules listed below: 

• EP0802 - PRODUCT DESIGN
• EP0805 - DRAWING
• EP0810 - GRAPHIC DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS

To obtain a Certificate in Asia Readiness, students are required to complete 3 elective modules, and should take 1 elective from each domain as shown below:

To obtain a Certificate in Aviation Management, students are required to complete any 3 elective modules listed below:

Revised Certificate Requirement (with effect from AY24/25 cohort)

The revised certificate requirement will be implemented with effect from AY24/25 cohort. Students from the AY24/25 cohort should follow this requirement if they wish to be awarded the Certificate in Business.

• Open to all School of Business students who are keen to develop real-world consulting skills.
• Students must complete the modules in sequence, as each module builds progressively in complexity and depth.
• Introduction to Business Consulting (EM0714) has no pre-requisites and serves as the entry point.
• Data-Driven Consulting (EM0715) requires completion of EM0714.
• Strategic Impact Consulting (EM0716) requires completion of EM0715.

To obtain a Certificate in Commercial Pilot Theory & Sim, students are required to complete the 3 elective modules listed below:

• EM0400 - COMMERCIAL PILOT THEORY
• EM0427 - COMMERCIAL PILOT THEORY 2
• EM0432 - COMMERCIAL PILOT SIMULATION PRACTICE

To obtain a Certificate in Data & Analytics, students should take any three modules from the list below. Do note that some modules have pre-requisites, which themselves are also modules that count towards the Certificate. Please refer to the elective modules listing for the details.

Take any three of the following:

• EP0610 – DATA VISUALISATION FOR BUSINESS
• EP0611 – THINKING WITH DATA FOR DECSION MAKING
• EP0612 – FUNDAMENTALS AND AUTOMATION OF DATA USING EXCEL
• EP0302 – PROGRAMMING FOR DATA SCIENCE
• EP0304 – MACHINE LEARNING IN PYTHON
  

Eligibility:

• DAAA students are excluded from this certificate due to the substantial overlap with their primary diploma.
• SB, SMA-DMB or ABE-DFM students who have read MS1522, MS7524 or MS3522 are not eligible to take EP0612. To obtain the Certificate, they can choose to read any three of the remaining four modules in the list above.
  

To obtain a Certificate in Design & Innovation, students are required to complete any 3 elective modules and at least ONE of the modules with the asterisk (*)

To obtain a Certificate in IoT (Internet of Things), students are required to complete any 3 elective modules listed below:

• EP0402 - FUNDAMENTALS OF INTERNET OF THINGS
• EP0403 - CREATING AN IOT (INTERNET OF THINGS) PROJECT

The Certificate in Robotics and Automation offers students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills in the rapidly evolving fields of robotics and automation.

To obtain the certificate, students are required to complete any three elective modules listed below—including at least one module from each domain (Robotics and Automation).

To obtain a Certificate in Sound & Music Fundamentals, students are required to complete 3 elective modules listed below:
