What is the SP-NUS University Accelerated Pathway Programme (SP-NUS UAPP) for DEPM

What is the SP-NUS University Accelerated Pathway Programme (SP-NUS UAPP*)?

The SP-NUS UAPP allows eligible students from the Singapore Polytechnic, Diploma in Integrated Events and Project Management (SP DEPM), the opportunity to study NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) modules in their last semester at SP. This will allow UAPP students who choose to progress to NUS FASS after graduation to apply for credit transfers, reducing the overall time needed to complete your degree. For each completed NUS course, the relevant credit and grade will be mapped to the SP Examination Grading System and reflected in the final transcript of the student’s diploma course.

*Previously known as Accelerated Pathway Programme (APP)

Who are eligible?

All DEPM students, from Cohort 2025 onwards, who meet NUS’s criteria will be eligible to apply.

What are the benefits?

  • Early exposure to NUS courses

SP-NUS UAPP students will take NUS courses in Year-3 Semester-2 of their Diploma course.

  • Experience University Life while being a student with DEPM

SP-NUS UAPP students will be enrolled in the same classes as NUS’s students and will have access to all facilities that are necessary for their learning at NUS campus, offering them a fulfilling experience of university life even before they graduate from their diploma course.

  • Transfer of Credit and Grade to NUS

After graduating from SP DEPM, SP-NUS UAPP students will need to apply to NUS if he/she wants to secure a place in a NUS Bachelor degree in NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) degree programme. SP-UAPP students who passed the three NUS courses will be exempted from taking these courses when they are admitted to the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) programme in the future.

How do I apply?

  • Eligible students will be notified via email when the SP-NUS UAPP is launched.
  • Eligible students will need to go through a merit-based selection process and attend an interview conducted by NUS’s faculty members.
