The Student Design Awards (SDA) organized by the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA) attracts international participation from various institutions teaching the landscape architecture discipline. Diploma in Landscape Architecture (DLA) wins four awards. Celebrating the winning designs, SILA highlights:

In the 2025 SDA edition, one recently graduated student, Braydon Goon from Diploma in Landscape Architecture (DLA) bagged an award with his Final Year Project; while current Year 3 students bagged another three, the award winners are namely:
Best Design Showcase (Bronze) project, Otter’s Lodge by Braydon Goon.
Outstanding Graphic Presentation project, RASA by Lim Rong Chen and Sew Yu Jun.
Representing his team was Fatris with the poster of EcoUrban Spine that won Planting Design Excellence.
Outstanding Contextual Analysis and Investigation project, Bio+Connex by Lim Rong Chen, Elizabeth Lim, Joshua Teng, Koh Jun Xuan, Vo Phi Yen, Qua Ling Hui and Tan Yee Xuan.
Planting Design Excellence project, EcoUrban Spine by Muhammad Fatris Bin Abdul Wahid, Charis Yeoh, Ong Jie Ying, Silver Sim, Then Jing ying, Ei Cho Zin Mon, Farall Chua, Nurul Safiyyah Binte Muhammad Sufi.

NUS hosted this year’s awards ceremony and exhibition which is always a memorable event for past and present DLA students to be introduced and gather while they connect with the landscape architecture professionals who participate in the event, showing support for the awards.
