A Collaborative project between Singapore Polytechnic and Elmich Pte Ltd
In this project, a creep test was conducted to study the fatigue of polymeric structures used in stormwater management after a dead load was applied for a long period of time. Two types of polymeric structure, Versitank VTX85 & VTX125 provided by Elmich Pte Ltd., were studied for a 6-month period. To simulate a dead load of 2,000 kg/m2 the polymeric structure, a group of students cast more than 100 concrete cubes with masses ranging from 6-7 kg/cube. The test was conducted in the SP W511 Laboratory with a data logger, PC, and other equipment.
