Biomedical Science Alumnus Awarded Prestigious Harvard Prize Book 2026

The School of Chemical & Life Sciences proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of Justin Tan Yan Wei (Diploma in Biomedical Science, Class of 2026) for winning the Harvard Prize Book 2026. Given by the Harvard Club of Singapore, the award recognises students who exemplify exceptional leadership, character, academic excellence, and the potential to make meaningful contributions to society.

On 26 June 2026, Justin received the Harvard Prize Book from Mr Heng Swee Keat at the Harvard Prize Book Award Ceremony

Presented annually to only one student from each participating institution, the Harvard Prize Book honours individuals who have distinguished themselves not only through academic achievement, but also through leadership, integrity, service to the community, and a commitment to creating positive impact. Justin's selection reflects these qualities and is a testament to his dedication, initiative, and contributions both within and beyond Singapore Polytechnic.

Justin was also recently conferred the Singapore Polytechnic Excellence Award (Individual Category) – Outstanding Contribution, one of Singapore Polytechnic's highest student honours for students who demonstrated exceptional leadership, initiative, service, and holistic excellence throughout their polytechnic journey. His accomplishment reflects Singapore Polytechnic’s commitment to nurturing students who excel academically, lead with integrity, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
