Meet Alicia Phoon, an alumna of SP Chemical Engineering (Class of 2005) who has built a meaningful career shaped by both technical expertise and a passion for people.

After graduating from Singapore Polytechnic, Alicia pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the National University of Singapore, further deepening her foundations in engineering and problem-solving. Today, she leads the commercial front as the Head of Sales at Camfil Singapore Pte Ltd, a global leader in air filtration solutions.

Alicia’s professional journey is grounded in skills she first developed at SP. As the former chairperson of the SP-BP Mentoring Club, she honed her leadership and teamwork abilities through mentoring primary school students—an experience that continues to influence her collaborative and people-centric leadership style in the workplace.

Her connection with SP remains strong. Alicia continues to contribute to education by partnering with the Diploma in Chemical Engineering on a paid capstone project investigating the regeneration of spent air filters, incorporating sustainability-driven innovation. Through this collaboration, she supports real-world learning while advancing greener engineering solutions.
