BRICS Skills Competition 2025 – Outstanding Achievements by EEE Students

From 3 to 6 November 2025, four Year 2 students from the Diploma in Computer Engineering (DCPE) represented Singapore Polytechnic at the BRICS Skills Competition 2025 in Guangzhou, China. The international event brought together 137 participants from 9 countries, showcasing emerging technologies in Data Analysis & Visualisation.

Following a rigorous selection and intensive training programme led by Dr. Wang Wei, the SP team delivered an exceptional performance on the global stage.

Yap Ee Shen clinched a Bronze Medal and the 1st Prize Award, one of only six medals awarded across the entire competition.
Heng Jiale, Byran Tia Hao Cheng, and Justin Lui Jun Wei each achieved the 2nd Prize Award, demonstrating strong skill mastery and resilience.

In recognition of her outstanding mentorship, Dr. Wang Wei received the Excellence Guidance Expert Award.
