School of Business 40 Years (SB40) BETA Day 2026: Singapore World Record & Student Business' Showcase
On 24 January, the School of Business hosted BETA Day 2026, welcoming nearly 1,000 students, parents, industry partners, and guests. A major highlight of the event was the achievement of a Singapore World Record for the Largest Student Bazaar, a proud milestone that celebrated student collaboration, creativity, and the spirit of SB40’s 40th anniversary.
The annual event also celebrated student achievement, student businesses, and the continued growth of the BETA programme, highlighting creativity, resilience, and teamwork.
A key feature was the student pitch competition, where students presented their ideas to industry judges for the first time, gaining confidence through real-world exposure and stepping out of their comfort zones.
This year’s BETA Day placed a stronger focus on sustainability, purpose-driven learning, and cross-diploma collaboration, grounded in the A.R.T.® pedagogy — Act, Reflect, Transform — which supports applied, experiential learning.
Held as part of the SB40 Celebration marking 40 years of the School of Business, the event also introduced the Ruby Award to recognise student achievement in this milestone year.
Together, these moments made BETA Day 2026 a meaningful celebration of learning, achievement, and community, reflecting the School of Business’s commitment to developing confident, future-ready learners.
