SP Civil Engineering Students Triumph at SUCCEED 2026

Singapore Polytechnic’s Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE) students once again demonstrated their technical prowess and innovative spirit at the Singapore Universities Combined Civil Engineering Engagement Day (SUCCEED) 2026. Held on 7 February 2026, the event saw our students competing against a formidable field of peers from NUS, NTU, and SIT, securing top honors and reinforcing SP’s reputation for excellence in the built environment.

The highlight of the event was the Floating Tower Challenge, which required teams to design and construct resilient structures capable of withstanding progressive loading starting from 350g. Our students rose to the occasion, showcasing a deep understanding of structural stability and material efficiency.

We are proud to celebrate the following teams for their outstanding achievements:

1st Runner Up

  • Team Members: Win Thura Kyaw, Sai Aung Thant, Ja Doi Sin, Myo Myat Pwint Phyu, and Naing Min Htet.

Company Choice Award

  • Team 1: Mohammed Qamarun Ayman Bin Jureny, Rys Bin Wan Mohamed Nazrith, Nur Aliyah Binte Azmi, and Yong Wen Hui Christine.
  • Team 2: Julia Soe Win, Tan Hui Jie, Tan Yu Kai Ralph, and Darra Lee Yun Qin.

Beyond the competition, SUCCEED serves as a vital bridge between academia and industry. Organized rotationally by the Civil Engineering Clubs of the participating universities, the 2026 edition provided a platform for our students to network with industry leaders and exchange ideas on the future of urban infrastructure.
