From brainstorm to beverage - our final-year students from the Diploma in Food Science & Technology (DFST) turned their food concepts into reality!
To celebrate Singapore’s 60th birthday, the two teams developed two brand-new drinks: Hawthorn Mint with Peach and Grape Mint Lemonade - refreshing, flavourful and formulated to meet Nutri-Grade B (that's below 5% sugar!)
Creating a beverage from scratch was no easy feat. From balancing flavours to refining taste profiles, the students faced challenges at every stage. Through their perseverance, teamwork and a whole lot of experimentation, they ultimately crafted a formulation that is now on track for commercialisation.
