The students from Diploma in Food Science & Technology (DFST) participated in Live It Up! – Bringing Engineering to Life, a vibrant event held from 14 to 16 August 2025 at Marina Bay Sands. The showcase brought together innovative projects from Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL).

During the event, our students proudly presented their BITE+INC projects, designed to tackle real-world health issues such as diabetes. Their innovative snack solutions are developed to reduce sugar and carbohydrate intake, increase dietary fibre and promote plant-based diets which drew much interest from visitors. Many engaged the students in lively Q&A sessions, sparking meaningful conversations about how science can be applied to solve everyday challenges.

In addition, Ms Jessie Tan, Course Chair of Diploma in Food Science & Technology, had the privilege to pitch these student-led projects directly to Dr Janil and senior IHL management. This provided a valuable platform to highlight the impact of Food Science education in shaping healthier and more sustainable food solutions for the future.
