Perfumery & Cosmetic Science Students collaborate with local brand to develop steroid-free moisturiser

Shin Min Daily News, 11 January 2026 - At SP’s Open House, students showcased a range of projects combining industry application and social impact. One highlight was the collaboration with local brand Serich, where students helped develop a steroid-free moisturiser for eczema, guided by SP Consumer Chemicals Technology Centre’s Senior Lead Research Scientist Chris Ching over 8–9 months. Second-year Diploma in Perfumery & Cosmetic Science (DPCS) student Charmaine Wam Qin Qi noted stability testing was a major challenge.
