Students from the Diploma in Perfumery & Cosmetic Science (DPCS) course embarked on two enriching industry visits to Sensient Technologies and Senses International on 14 and 15 October 2025 respectively.
At Sensient Technologies, students gained insights into key areas of the cosmetics industry — Regulatory Affairs, Applications, and Research & Development. They also enjoyed hands-on experiences such as evaluating colour cosmetics, learning directly from Sensient’s application scientists and SP’s Year 3 interns who shared their valuable internship experiences.

The learning continued at Senses International, a homegrown fragrance company, where students discovered how a Singapore-based fragrance house operates within the regional market. Through guided sessions by Senses staff and Year 3 interns, students learned about fragrance applications, evaluations, and quality testing using GCMS. The visit concluded with an engaging hands-on session where students created their own simple perfumes and scented candles.

It was a meaningful and inspiring journey — from Singapore’s west to east — as students gained a deeper appreciation of the fragrance and cosmetics industries. SP CLS expresses heartfelt thanks to Sensient Technologies and Senses International for their generosity and time.
