The Food Hackathon: Designing Your Future & Food for the Year 2067, held on 29 April 2026 at Temasek Polytechnic as part of the Joint POL-ITE Food Industry Fair 2026, brought together students from the Polytechnics and ITE to develop innovative, future-forward food solutions. The hackathon provided valuable exposure to innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and emerging food challenges. It also highlighted how the integration of science and creativity can drive the development of sustainable and impactful food systems for the future.
Singapore Polytechnic (SP) was represented by four teams from the Diploma in Food Science & Technology (DFST), with two teams advancing to the Top 6 finalists:
Both teams delivered a compelling 5-minute live pitch followed by a Q&A session, presenting futuristic concepts grounded in scientific feasibility, market potential, and societal impact.
Team InnovATE emerged as the Diamond Grand Prize winner (1st Place).
