Three SP-EEE students from Team GITPUSH won 1st Runner Up and $1,000 prize money at What The Hack (WTH) 2025 Hackathon, held from 19 to 21 Sep 2025, for Best Hack with their project Empowering Generations – a smart medical dispenser designed to stop micromanaging, start empowering, and help elderly individuals take ownership of their own health. Tasked with addressing the evolving needs of Singapore’s aging population, they successfully developed a fully functioning prototype within the short timeframe of the hackathon and emerged Ist Runner Up with their creativity and technical integration, competing against 70 teams from other IHLs and universities.
Hosted annually by the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), WTH brought together innovators, makers, and problem-solvers to design and build technology solutions. The students, with details as appended, were guided by Yusuf Pranggonoh.
