Combined teams of SP-EEE, Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam-Indonesia), and Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH-Indonesia) participated in National Robotics Competition (NRC Smorphi) from 12 to 13 Sep 2025, and won 4 awards under Imaginary Challenge (1st Place), Autonomous Challenge (2nd Place), and Pilot Challenge (1st and 3rd Place).

NRC aimed to spur interest in innovation by offering students an opportunity to apply what they learnt in school and experience STEM hands-on through interactive and meaningful experience, fostering skills such as problem solving, entrepreneurial dare, creative thinking and team spirit. With this year’s theme of “Equity Engineers”, NRC Smorphi aimed to address cleaning robot scenarios with the use of Smorphi transformer robots – with cleaning robots becoming more pervasive in domestic and public settings while improving the lives of cleaning professionals.

Details of the winning teams are as follows. They were guided by Yusuf Pranggonoh (SP) / Anugerah Wibisana (Polibatam) / Laurence (UPH).
