Speaker

The Singapore Polytechnic Content Creation Hackathon 2026, organised by Re/Define from the Singapore Polytechnic Media, Arts & Design School (SP MAD), is a flagship polytechnic-wide competition that brings together students from across disciplines to create impactful digital content for brands and social causes.

More than just a competition, the Hackathon serves as a platform for students to explore content creation, social media storytelling, and digital media careers while collaborating with peers and industry partners.

The initiative was created to:

  • Discover and nurture emerging creative talent across Singapore Polytechnic
  • Inspire students to explore content creation and digital media as future career pathways
  • Strengthen SP MAD’s position as a forward-looking creative school preparing students for the evolving digital economy

The 2026 edition was launched in collaboration with NTUC FairPrice Group and supported by Hepmil Media Group, home of SGAG.

Running from 24 April to 4 May 2026, the Hackathon kicked off with an industry-led workshop where students gained insights from professionals in the media and content creation industry. Participants then visited NTUC FairPrice outlets across Singapore to conceptualise, film, and produce original digital content.

The competition concluded with an exciting finale on 4 May 2026, where the top three teams emerged victorious alongside five merit award winners. Beyond the prizes, the Hackathon provided students with valuable real-world experience in storytelling, branding, video production, and digital marketing.

To recognise their participation, all students also received S$20 FairPrice Group e-vouchers as a token of appreciation.
