Ashley Tan, Class of 2025, a Diploma in Information Technology (renamed to Diploma in Computer Science) graduate, has been making waves as a young leader in technology and community impact. In 2025, she was awarded two prestigious scholarships, the Public Service Commission (PSC) Scholarship (Engineering) and the Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship to Encourage Upgrading (LKY-STEP). Ashley embraced opportunities that bridged classroom knowledge with real-world application. These experiences encourage me to keep refining my skills so that I may contribute to more impactful projects in the future,” she reflected.
Her three years at SP were also marked by active leadership and participation in student life. From representing SP in BrainHack competitions, to attending youth leadership programmes, Polytechnic Forum, and SP EDGE, Ashley consistently sought out opportunities to challenge herself and grow. She also served as Secretary of the SP Tennis Club, leading the team to multiple podium finishes at the POL-ITE Tennis Tournament.
Now a first-year student at the Singapore Management University (SMU), studying Information Systems, Ashley continues to shine. She has recently been awarded the SMU Global Impact Scholarship, and clinched First Prize at the Hackathon (Community Category).
Her journey truly exemplifies SoC's vision to nurture future tech visionaries who lead with purpose and impact.
