Nine students from the School of Computing successfully completed the 52-week OCBC Ignite Internship Programme, gaining valuable hands-on experience at the intersection of banking and technology. Through immersive training and close mentorship, the students worked on real-world projects while developing essential professional skills in a corporate environment.
During the year-long programme, students were exposed to meaningful work across areas such as data analytics, regulatory reporting and emerging technologies. They demonstrated resilience and adaptability as they contributed to real business solutions, while strengthening their problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
Students shared that the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world work made the internship especially meaningful. They also highlighted the value of gaining practical industry insights, as well as the strong mentorship and professional connections built throughout the programme.
