The Singapore Computer Society (SCS), in collaboration with SG Women in Tech and IMDA, celebrates 100 inspiring women who are shaping the future of technology in Singapore. Among the honourees is Chew Yee Jing, a year-2 student from Diploma in Applied AI & Analytics (DAAA) whose journey reflects both innovation and heart.
As President of the SP AI Club (SPAI), Yee Jing has led initiatives that spark interest in artificial intelligence, including workshops, hackathons, and outreach events. Her leadership is driven by a deep belief in continuous learning and community impact.
Her achievements include a Silver Award at the SP Batey Hackathon for a mental health awareness game, and a Merit Award at the PolyFinTech 100 API Hackathon for an augmented reality financial literacy tool. As a Singapore Polytechnic Scholar and a participant in the MOE Young Leaders Programme 2025, Yee Jing also contributes to social causes like EDGE x Dementia SG, supporting persons living with dementia.
She continues to sharpen her skills through national competitions and bootcamps, including the SwiftUI Nano Bootcamp, and plays active roles in school events such as the National Software Competition.
Yee Jing’s story is a powerful example of how young women can thrive in tech—combining technical excellence with empathy and purpose.

“Staying current in ICT means staying curious, continuously learning through real-world experiences, and always sharing that knowledge with others in ways that are practical, inspiring, and empowering.”
