Meet Alwis, our Diploma in Infocomm Security Management alumnus (now the Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics), who’s now using tech to change the world and pursuing his undergraduate studies at Yale University.

At SP, Alwis found two things that shaped his journey: opportunities and unwavering support. Through the SP–GovTech Polytechnic Technology Programme, he spent a year as a Malware Analyst with GovTech’s Government IT Security Incident Response Team, tackling real cybersecurity incidents. With the guidance of SP’s ECG mentors, he gained clarity, confidence and the courage to aim high, even as he prepared his Yale application.

Now at Yale, he’s exploring Computer Science, Economics, Global Affairs and History, while throwing himself into transformative classes, campus traditions and a community that truly feels like a home away from home.
