SINGAPORE POLYTECHNIC BOOSTS INNOVATION AND COLLABORATION AT SWITCH 2023

Singapore Polytechnic (SP) showed its commitment to fostering industry connections and promoting innovation at the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) 2023. The event took place from 31 October to 2 November at Sands Expo & Convention Centre.

The event included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with A*STAR, which affirmed SP's dedication to providing valuable industry experience opportunities for students and developing Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses. Startups and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will now have access to SP's innovation labs and facilities, enhancing their capabilities within the industry. The MoU was witnessed by Mr. Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, and underscored the significance of the partnership in expanding Singapore's Innovation and Enterprise ecosystem.



Singapore Polytechnic also launched the AI Learning Journey, a collaborative effort between SP and AI Singapore. The programme highlights practical AI solutions that can optimise business processes and equip employees with the necessary skills for successful digital transformation.



During the event, SP's six centres and 14 start-ups showcased their innovative capabilities, demonstrating the institution's commitment to fostering an environment of entrepreneurial spirit and technological advancement. Notably, Mr. Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore, and Mr. Peter Ong, Chairman of Enterprise Singapore visited the booth, further recognising SP's role in driving innovation and entrepreneurship.
