[Invitation to Registration] Entering Vietnam: Adapting to Consumer Preferences

Are you looking to expand your business internationally and capture greater market share? Would Vietnam be one of your priority markets?

Vietnam will remain one of the fastest growing emerging markets in the next three years, supported by policies that favour global trade integration to foster domestic economic growth” (S&P Global Ratings, 4 December 2023)

Jointly organised by EnterpriseSG and the Singapore Polytechnic Food Innovation & Resource Centre (FIRC), the Entering Vietnam: Adapting to Consumer Preferences project seeks to support local food manufacturers to venture into Vietnam through product re-formulation.

The project will also aim to answer some of your questions when entering a new market:

  • Will my food products be well-received by Vietnamese consumers?
  • Is there a market for my food products in Vietnam?
  • How can I enhance or customize them to better meet the expectations of Vietnamese consumers?
  • What are some Vietnamese products that share similarities with mine?

About “Entering Vietnam: Adapting to Consumer Preferences”
The project will be conducted in 2 parts:

  1. Part 1: Consumer Sensory Study + Food Label Compliance Review – Food Manufacturers can choose to conduct a consumer sensory study on a product of their choice in Singapore or Vietnam. Findings from the study will inform participants on product fit and consumer acceptance in the Vietnamese market. FIRC will also extend food label and ingredient review services to ensure that they are compliant with Vietnamese food regulations.
  2. Part 2: Product Improvement & Development – FIRC will be offering consultancy services to enhance or modify one of the products based on feedback in Part 1. Final prototype will be presented to companies for your use.

To be eligible for funding support from EnterpriseSG, companies must partake in both parts of the project.

Detailed information will be provided to interested companies upon successful registration. Kindly note that eligible entities will be supported under the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG).
