A total of 38 outstanding students, including 26 undergraduates and 12 postgraduates, have been awarded scholarships under the EDGE (Executive Development and Growth Exchange) programme by the Ministry of National Development (MND). The recipients received their certificates on Monday (14 July) from Minister for National Development Mr Chee Hong Tat. The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, and overseas exchange programme expenses. In return, recipients are required to serve four to six years at MND or its affiliated agencies after graduation. One of the recipients is Chen Zi Ming, who will be heading to University College London (UCL) in September to pursue a course in Urban Planning, Design and Management. Chen developed a keen interest in urban planning while studying Interior Design and Architecture Applied subjects at SST. He later pursued a Diploma in Architecture at SP, where he came to understand the significant role that policy plays in urban development.
