The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and UEM Group successfully concluded their international study-abroad programme, internship attachments, and the SENSE SG 2026 Conference in Singapore, providing Malaysian engineering students and young professionals with opportunities to gain international exposure, industry insights, and cross-border learning experiences. The initiative aimed to strengthen technical competencies while fostering regional collaboration and leadership development among future engineers. SP’s Lead Specialist (AI & Analytics) from the School of Computing, Dr Peter Leong delivered presentations on cybersecurity issues and digital resilience alongside Dr Tan Kian Hua, a global cybersecurity consultant and Chief Information Security Officer. Their sessions addressed challenges related to cybersecurity governance, risk management, and the need for organisations to strengthen their resilience in an increasingly digital world.
