Srikanth, 31, who was introduced to Latin ballroom dancing at the age of 17 by his mother, is considered one of the best Latin ballroom dancers in Singapore today. He is also one of the rare Tamils in this art form who is active in the world of Latin dance. He was inspired by the lively Latin ballroom dance in the same class and joined the Latin ballroom dance co-ed programme at SP. Mrs Renuka said that she saw her son’s passion and enthusiasm for dance in his childhood. She felt that Srikanth, who was precocious and stubborn in his youth, had become much calmer and more intelligent through ballroom dancing. Srikanth, who aims to participate in the world-famous Blackpool Dance Festival in England, wants to become an instructor with a top ranking. Wanting to pass on everything he has learned to the next generation in the future, he continues to study with the best instructors and artists around the world.
