The Singapore National Eye Centre and SP have launched a new Certificate in Clinical Decision-Making in Community Optometry to strengthen the clinical capabilities of community optometrists. The programme aims to allow patients with stable eye conditions to receive follow-up care in the community instead of returning to major hospitals. Each intake will train 20 fully registered optometrists through a three-month blended course combining online learning and practical training, helping ease hospital workload while improving community-based eye care.
