Ms Putri Sri Wahyuni Mohamad Kamarulzaman’s determination and resilience were recognised at her graduation from SP’s Diploma in Nautical Studies programme, where she was among the 232 graduates from the Singapore Maritime Academy in 2026. Before entering SP, Ms Putri built a strong foundation in the maritime industry through the Maritime Business course at the ITE, which helped prepare her for polytechnic studies and a demanding maritime career. During her training, she spent seven months at sea as a deck cadet, sailing between Singapore, the United States and the Democratic Republic of Congo while adapting to life as the only Singaporean, Muslim and female crew member on board. Now interning with OSM Thome, she views her graduation not only as an academic achievement but also as a testament to her perseverance, personal growth and commitment to pursuing a career in the maritime sector.
