SLEC opens, plans to train over 3,000 caregivers in 3 years

St Luke's ElderCare (SLEC) has opened a new training facility and aims to train more than 1,000 healthcare professionals each year through 2028 to strengthen Singapore's community care workforce. As part of its expansion, TP will host Singapore's first campus-based eldercare centre, giving nursing and healthcare students hands-on experience while serving seniors. SLEC also works with all five polytechnics and other local institutes of higher learning, including a partnership with NP to support its Perspectives of Ageing module, in the Diploma in Psychology & Community Development, helping students better understand ageing and community healthcare through practical learning.
