At the Thriving as an Entrepreneur fireside chat on 22 Aug, three young founders — Alicia Hong, CEO and co-founder of Digi-Up!; Nicholas Cheng, co-founder of Tracework.ai and VideoPulse; and Kit Yong, founder of Forte Biotech — shared candid insights on building startups. The event, held at *Scape with about 50 attendees, was co-organised by the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) and the National Youth Council (NYC) Singapore. Hong, who started Digi-Up! through a hackathon while studying at SP, encouraged students to join hackathons and incubator programmes to access mentors, co-founders and funding opportunities. She stressed that entrepreneurship is a tough path, especially when balancing school, internships and CCAs, but said it tests one’s true commitment to the journey.
