SP offers diploma giving creatives path to boardroom

SP has launched a new part-time Diploma in Design (Business & Strategy), the first programme of its kind in Singapore aimed at helping creative professionals transition into leadership and strategic roles. Developed in line with the national Design 2035 masterplan, the diploma combines design, business strategy and artificial intelligence (AI), equipping creatives with the skills to move beyond execution into decision-making and boardroom-level responsibilities. Highlighting the programme's purpose, Mr Mark Lu, Director of SP's Media, Arts & Design School, said: "Many creatives are deeply skilled but narrowly positioned. This diploma helps them see the full picture—how business works, how decisions get made, and where they can play a bigger role." The part-time diploma is designed for working professionals and features industry mentorship, flexible learning and SkillsFuture eligibility, enabling designers to strengthen their strategic, business and AI capabilities while continuing to work.
