At the Thriving as an Entrepreneur fireside chat on 22 August, panellists encouraged students to explore entrepreneurship while still in school, calling university and polytechnic a safe space to “fail faster” and learn quickly. The event, co-organised by the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) and the National Youth Council, featured founders who started their ventures as students, including Alicia Hong, CEO of social enterprise Digi-Up!, who began her journey while studying at SP. Panellists also highlighted hackathons and incubator programmes as valuable platforms for aspiring entrepreneurs to gain mentorship, partners, and funding.
