Enterprise orchestration platform Workato has been expanding Singapore’s AI talent pool by training polytechnic and university students over the past three years. On 22 September, Workato launched the AI Institute Alliance with seven Institutes of Higher Learning, including NYP, NP, RP, SP, and TP, as well as the NUS and SUSS. This is Workato’s first AI Institute Alliance across its global operations. The initiative builds on Workato’s Education Partnership Programme, which began in Singapore in 2022. Students apply their learning in real-world projects — for example, a student from NP’s Specialist Diploma in Business Digitalisation helped FairPrice Group automate a human resources process.
