This young Singaporean is on a mission to fight ageism and help older workers restart their careers

Lim Kai Ning, now 30, founded The Courage Chapter, a social enterprise combating ageism, building a community of over 800 members aged 40 to 73. The organisation offers transition workshops and employment opportunities with companies such as Unilever, St Andrew’s Autism Centre, and Lions Befrienders. To support executives moving into the social sector, Lim partnered with SP to run a three-day programme where social service leaders share sector insights and guide participants through a small charity project. This hands-on approach provides candidates with face time with senior leaders, helping them navigate career transitions more effectively than traditional online applications, which can disadvantage older candidates.
